have read the bible, for academic purposes, for many years. there is nothing compelling in the bible. it begins as Hebrew morality & nationalistic propaganda, then evolves, after the arising of Buddhism, into a search for wisdom, then a search for social justice, then Jesus came along, then it ends, insanely, with Revelation. even Martin Luther, the Jew hater, did not include Revelation in his translations
