Axegun, metalstorm have for many years now said they would not be the manufacturer of the weapons, at least not in the beginning anyway, they said they may do so at a later date, there is nothing wrong with a company licensing out the manufacturing right, they should get paid for that right, the manufacturer gets money for making the weapons and metalstorm gets royalties on each weapon made, but more importantly once those weapons are in the field, then a royalty comes back to metalstorm on EVERY round fired and metalstorm were NEVER going to manufacture ammo.

The royalties on the ammunition will be ongoing for some time whereas the royalties on the weapon you only get once, so in the end the big money is in the royalties on the ammo.
