I have read and I don't really know if it's a fact but certainly plausible that dogs were the first animal to become domesticated and that we as a very vulnerable species of naked ape we owe our very existence and survival as human beings in prehistoric times due to our close partnership with dogs both for protection and the warning of predators nearby and for help in the hunting of game.
They have always been part of our family both as a kid and now still as an adult. I had a little Jack/Foxy X I swear he was always trying to speak to me.
Lost him to a busy road he was just too adventurous for his own good and an expert escape artist.
We still have his little maltese terrier wife Lol..
