Our dog was a good guard Dog and only barked when required, once of his 'tricks' was he could be commanded to "talk" and he'd bark.
The JW remark was more or less tongue in cheek, but he did bark at them longer probably because they would be at the gate longer than say the postie...
JWs are a cult IMO, targeting children is the MO... not a 'good' thing IMO. (but that is a topic for a difference forum).
