I think Obama may not be experienced, he got the good skills and broadmindedness in mustering and using the talents around him.

What impressed me was that Hilary Clinton was made Secretary of State despite that she was his opponent at an earlier stage. I see some confidence in that.

He also seem to be finding the root of the problems and find solution accordingly.

I would expect him to alleviate the current economic downturn in the US as he assumes his position.
