Yes, S&G do earn their money (some of it anyway) on the misery of others. Some years ago, a neighbour was injured as a passenger in a car accident. They went through a series of operations that still couldn't completely restore their limbs, they lost their job, they couldn't get work, and the two insurance companies (one was for the driver of the other vehicle) wouldn't pay up. Two whole years later, ambulance-chasing no-win-no-fee lawyers, greedily capitalising on this person's misery, won a long-running court battle and a substantial settlement. My neighbour's life was put back on track, and I acquired a whole new perspective on no-win-no-fee ambulance-chasing. Without NWNF there is no way that my neighbour could have pursued the insurance companies in the courts. So yes S&G earn some of their money on the misery of others - they do what they can to rectify the misery. It's a crying shame that people try to cheat the system, but that doesn't alter the underlying theme.
