With respect to possible Takeover -------.
IMO the Government should ( without notice or fanfare ) have the Australian Future Fund start buying significant stakes in our "hardrockers" especially PLS.
If the Fund was able to build a significant stake below the intrinsic value of the company, not only would it be an astute investment but also be a potential frustration to any Takeover pirate. Furthermore, given the strategic status of Lithium such an investment would be in the National interest.
I believe Big Mac is the Australian equities investment advisor to our Future Fund, Having them participate in the Equity raising would have been a no effort required task. Would be interesting to know if they were encouraged by Big Mac to take up stock.
Maybe KB could give one of his cool presentations to the relevant Government Ministers and senior management of the Future Fund.
It would be a crying shame if PLS was taken over.
