Daimler, allow me to buzz in.
Before blaiming the messenger - Justus Homburg, and execute him for all Progen missery, you should look at the real culpits is the sad Progen saga.
Mal Eutick and that proven hopeless John Robert Lee were the architects behind the failed AVX merger (just as well that it did fail)
The balance of power in Progen's boardroom was the real problem. Good talents around the boardtable were not used.
The Eutick / Lee duo effectively ran the company after John Lee's poisoned chalice was passed around.
Interesting to know that while on the board of Progen, John R. Lee was Chairman of another biotech, which he managed to send down the gurgler. His personal performance at the last Progen AGM he attended was pathetic.
As for Eutick, he should never chair a public company.
Interesting to note that he was also on the board of another company which went south.
In Homburg's case he, as CEO, ended up being the messenger for a duo with their own agenda.
The rest is history !
