Thats a can of worms. I liked NST and EVN because they picked up the old Normandy assets that fell off Barrick and newmount when they over invested in Australia. Very rarely will you spot a Rookie like GOR coming in from greenfields. Before GOR came to town It was Lihir. I was on the Normandy side of town so came late on SAR and SBM which was from the (sons of gwalia) another good Gold miner from way back.
I had the same strategy even decades before with Zenifex acquiring the Old Pasminco assets...
The names change but follow the assets and you can't go wrong.
