Problem is that large scale operational restructures are costly (think one time costs) which SGH doesn't have capacity to fund and furthermore, they generally depress earnings in the short term.. Banks will want quick short term wins. Do you think Macqaurie Bank and Citi won't be demanding their money back now! Westpac may seek to hang around and claim to be supportive, but other banking syndicate members will demand action.
