I doubt EY would have had discussions with the banks - the opinion would have been based, if anything, on written correspondence and the banks confirming SGH was in compliance with covenants throughout the reporting period, at balance date and at the time of signing the assurance report.
The banks would not have told EY whether or not they intend to enforce in the near future.
