I have observed over the many years of owning shares that a depressed SP often means we get very strong negative views on the BOD members of a company.
In some cases, these are justified but on the other side, Biotechs rise and fall on the science and not on the activities of the BOD.
It is probably easy to run Coles and Woollies as it is just a case of keeping up sales and lowering costs. Biotechs need to get breakthroughs that can affect lives - that is like playing roulette at a casino. Often it is hit and miss.
Not sticking up for LC or any other BOD member here - just saying that data and a results will determine success or failure. Not who is running or managing the company.
Maybe we should get back to discussing the science and leave the attacks on management to a level where legitimate complaints are raised but personal attacks based on disappointment can be eliminated.
just thinking out loud here. Discussing the scientific merits of IMU was always more interesting.
