National Socialist German Workers' Party
It's no accident that the word Socialist is in there, and why would you expect a party with the word Socialist in it to act any differently?
Under the Nazi regime private ownership of the means of production existed in name only. The German government had full control over the means of production and basically exercised all powers of ownership. The Nazis decided on all matters of production and labour. Everything. Quantity, methods, distribution, prices, wages, dividend to the "private owners", etc etc.
Both Communism and Fascism takes away power from the people to distribute resources as seen fit for the "public good".
Not only that, but Hitler condemned capitalism, and it is quite clear in everything he stood for. To somehow associate Nazi's with right-wing free-market systems is stupid. But that is what today's socialists want people to think. They want people to think of capitalism and free markets with heartless regimes like Hitler's. They want to perpetuate the myth that capitalism is evil. Fascism vs Communism was set up to eliminate the idea that free society was an option, and the reason Hitler fought Communists so viciously was essentially because just because they were rivals fighting for the same territory.
So when Australians act out against capitalism and free markets as if it is an evil force, misconstruing Right-Wing with Nazism, while holding socialist banners, be very concerned.
