Stagman, I'm sure you're right. We probably will see a political or judicial outcome to this saga. I think Nkwe will have a better chance in court than on the political stage.
Look at the press coverage this story has received so far. I think journos are more likely to see this mess as a David and Goliath, tale of triumph against all odds story. I'm sure they'll think that will go down better with the masses than the story of an foreign mining company demanding what it paid for.
IMO, while Genorah are undoubtedly well connected, backing them will be politically costly for the government. I definitely think the lack of mainstream media coverage plays to our favour. IMO we'd lose a trial by media, which I'm sure you'd agree, is all most politicians care about.
Maybe we should hope some of those facilitation fees made their way into the SA president's pocket. :-)
