This is not about a particular stock but Ive seen it so often I'd really like to understand it.
So Im watching this stock where the bids are say 10 buyers bidding to buy 10000 shares at 95 cents and 10 Sellers offering to sell 10,000 shares 97 cents. Suddenly after a long stand off there is a trade for all 10,000 shares and instantaneously another 8 buyers appear bidding to buy at 98 cents. Where did those 8 buyers suddenly appear from. If it was one buyer I could understand that he/she afraid that he/she might miss out jumps in to buy at the selling price buy 8 buyers instantly appearing. And I mean instantly, like only a split second passes. There is not time hat passes to build the buyers from 1 to 8. No, its immediately 8 new buyers. Can someone explain how this happens?
