Didnt the major shareholder propose rather than accept this low ball offer that PPX should defer all dividends for the next 10years?
He then said that PXU could be bought back at market value over those 10years. That would require about 10% re-purchased every year for 10years.
At the end of it you would have PPX minus the PXU. And PPX would climb towards NTA. But he is missing something. PPX still need to turn things around and make money to fund the buyback.
Also with no dividend for 10years, its a long time to hold PPX. Would it be worth holding 8c shares for 10years without dividends to maybe see 30c sp? Or would you be better off just taking the 9c now?
