According to a Wood Mackenzie report from this month, last year Asia accounted for around 70 percent of global LNG imports, but only about 20 percent of Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) trade. “Asia is not only the biggest, but it also is the fastest growing region for LNG,” WoodMac said. “In Q1 2017 there were 65 companies, who have announced plans to import LNG across the region. Many of these emerging buyers will be looking to FSRUs as a cheaper and faster way to import LNG,” according to the consultancy.

Why ENN bought a stake in Santos? For future security of GAS if need be might as well take over the upstream business Chinese want the cake and eat it too.

We know there are many customers,  we got  massive export facility to cater for this Asia market, our leaders just need to sort out the domestic problem.. it is just silly AEMO already reverse their position on the shortage of GAS.. yet there is huge demand for our product and we want to limit export.... It's ridiculous...

QLD should have their own state policy of limit interstate export until NSW and VIC have lifted their memorandums of limiting on shore drilling.. to counter the Fed Gov

Our manufacturers are failing not because of high energy prices it's for various reasons ...other countries wages are cheap real cheap...  We can only Change our industry, we export commodities and safe foods which is what Asia wants anyway.... Leave those hard stuffs labour intensive job to Asia.. when they make their money when we buy their end product...  they bring their money over here and they buy our high price Realestate ... nice cycle...  the money took one big round and comes back to Australia how nice..
