silver plays on the asx have never really amounted much. although in a rising silver market there has always been plenty of opportunities to make money for investors from the hype. most sound good but unless they are large rich deposits then they will usually remain small fry compared to gold companies.
it sounds great when they say they'll be digging out 2mil oz's per year, when you do the sums their eventual profits wouldn't be that large.
last time around it was ayn and ccu. both failures.
