My dear Mr Thurlow, You are missing one important point it seems. Israeli action does not start and end with the Palestinians I'm afraid. The Palestinian issue has become a running sore for the whole islamic nation. It is a focus for US-Israeli hatred by islam. While there may have been reticence for other islamic states to directly involve themselves in the Palestinian issue it is seen as a symbol of the western attitude. Hence the issues are much larger than you seem to think. Unless there is a fair settlement, Islamic agitation/terrorism will continue for the forseeable future.
