I am sure we shall have trouble of our own making in the years ahead.
When I came here as a migrant in the late 50's there was tremendous government support to get people started including free language classes.
The State governments now seem to have given up on public education. Many of the young Muslim Lebanese appear to abandon the education system too early.
On a separate issue, why would you imprison potential migrants who are prepared to risk their lives and spend their savings to get here? It seems to me unlikely that they would become dependant on the public purse, where as someone who waits in the mythical queue is high risk in my view.(to become social services dependant)
