I'd like to disagree on releasing diamond hole XRF results as being appropriate by management due to the fact that the diamond core will generally not be processed in-house (ie. crushed and pulverized) to give a homogeneous sample for analyzing. Therefore any XRF results on diamond holes are likely pure spot samples which are not representative of the drill hole interval. The only way to get an estimate of grade without processing the diamond core is visual. Using XRF on whole diamond core will be misleading like using XRF on rock chips samples.
Having said that, ROX could have used the XRF on diamond core to confirm the massive sulphide encountered is nickel bearing.
