The way things are at with VIL at the moment even if there's news out that they've hit a well as big as Ayers Rock, doesn't seem like it's going to impact at all. To tell you my honest belief I don't think companies like VIL are really going to move much unless the Dow moves above 13,000. Not sure when and if it will get there but small caps and speccies operate better with a confidant market. So to answer your question in summary, im my humble opinion, yeah hitting a well as big as Ayers Rock and Dow above 13,000 is needed for the SP to move towards those figures you've mentioned.
