What if you do have the time and the interest though.
IMO movements in daily spreads, order sizes (genuine and bogus), volume and speed of refill on both the bid and ask, provides invaluable information regarding trend, sentiment and demand.
Given share prices are nothing more than outward reflections of that sentiment, I could never imagine not watching it.
