The reason should be evident .''Mainstream reseachers'' are not convinced. Speculations such as this are not new. They have been examined and found to lack substance.
The only researchers not convinced are the biblical researchers - you know - the ones that believe in people walking on water and reviving the dead. The same ones that believe that a flood wiped out all but a few specimens of life on this earth. The same ones that believe a guy with a stick parted the Red Sea. The same people that believe in a story of creation narrated by third parties centuries after the event in a time when the written word did not exist
The rest of the real scientific researchers on the other hand, are more than convinced that human existence goes back beyond 10,000 years ago
