Why does he have to? Turnbull's unquestioning acolytes will continue to try and drag everything back to Abbott, Abbott, Abbott, and still, after a year have literally nothing positive to say about the PM.
Turnbull should have lost the election and disappeared into ignominy. The fact that he was force to spend $2 million of his own money and $50 billion of ours to hang on by his fingernails speaks volumes.
I'm sure the cartoon dinosaur and John Oliver brigade will continue to obfuscate but Turnbull, thus far, has been Australia's most useless PM. Gillard may have been terrible but she go a lot of terrible stuff done, so warped kudos for that. Turnbull either has no convictions or no courage.
