For a person with over 15 years experience in the share market and trading,you surprise me.

Don't use your own head and research.
You are saying to go by what Directors (can) tell us,but ignor what else we read or hear.
Directors can only say so much. ASX will not allow them to divulge certain things.
Confidentiality clauses will not allow them to tell All.

Nothing stopping SDL telling us there are NO others looking at SDL. Why not inform share holders of this if that is the case.
If there are others looking at SDL,that could stop them announcing the fact because of confidenciality clauses.

Blinkered veiw of things I think.
