Hi, I wondered about whether there might have been a bit of tongue in cheek there. One thing about the sub-prime problems, there was certainly , right at the start, a desire to make home ownership available to people who were never going to cut it. The financial pirates saw an opportunity and hijacked a well intentioned policy, but one probably destined to fail.
Perhaps more public housing instead? Ok, tongue in cheek again, not going to happen in the US , but I cant get that multifaceted Finnish system out of my head ,as a good melding of public and private philosophies. cheers
