    The other alternative is do something about demand.

    Ban all residential property purchases by non citizens / permanent residents.
    Scrap the government subsidiary for property ownership, negative gearing.
    Introduce a vacant property tax for all properties that are empty over 6 months (tracked by water usage).
    Scrap interest only mortgages & implement maximum 80% LVRs
    Scrap mortgages for SMSF.
