WEB is pretty much a brick & mortar arbitrage travel agency (i.e. they are web based).
But the whole point is, people that are booking their holidays online are less likely to rely on travel agencies, or middle men, to begin with.
So it's like the labour arbitrage model used by rideshare companies. Which is really easy to replicate.
To get straight to the point, there's nothing special about webjet. It doesn't really have a competitive advantage.
Someone mentioned they are doing accomodation now. If margins on flights are so good why are they going to other areas?
Like I said in a previous post, there's just so much easier money to be made elsewhere, like healthcare and tech.
Look at what happened to VAH. Why make it hard for yourself by buying stocks in drowning industries?
