Holy won't be surprised .. he often touted MEL's potential. I don't think that comparing stock price movements short-term is any measure at all of value. Remember too that MEL's market cap is only $150m ... ESG's is over $700m. Share price isn't everything. And MEL has spent the year going essentially sideways until this recent gas discovery and it has only in the last week broken above its 100 day moving average. Whereas ESG is up a long way from its lows and broke through the 100 dma ages ago and is still well above it despite the slide of the last few months.
