Our share price is once again near all time lows albeit on low volumes. I'm quite comfortable with my position, mainly because I put a fair bit of effort into research. I don't want to sound like a broken record... I think the market just perceives us as not delivering on projects. This has certainly been the case in the past, I'd like to think we've turned that corner though the market will need some convincing.
A brief look at what we've achieved and where we're heading.
Firstly and not mentioned very often, 2019 saw a new CEO, now obviously he is privy to everything, been with the company prior to the IPO, and guess how he elected to take the majority of his salary package - in performance shares and rights. Do not underestimate the significance of this. Always good to have management with skin in the game.
RGS - new on the scene, 1st announced Oct '19. A top 10 shareholder who are "well funded" and "have developed strong relationships with governments and universities across several countries in South East Asia". This is evidenced by a well publicised signing of a memorandum of cooperation with one of the few Thai cannabis licensed organisations. I look forward to the establishment of this facility in 2020 and possibly a Malaysian facility too.
Freshero is as good as a done deal, they've bought a property so are definitely going ahead, just a matter of when. 1st facility looking at 500+ machines & remember these are 7' machines double the price of the 4' machine + sales of the automation equipment, fertigation, royalty, etc.
OK a bit of bad, Supra is delayed... the whole point of the deal was to expedite things and this hasn't happened, luckily they haven't spent much, but it's a bad look though mostly out of our control.
Gibio, though not dead, is delayed due to funding. They may miss the boat if Freshero sign a JV with exclusivity, there is a market for Romaine lettuces in Canada, I'd like to think they can get finance or someone else step in (Freshero?).
Cannifarms, this is a signed JV recently approved at the AGM. It is subject to them getting their license, but after speaking to Adam & Surandy70's feedback from the AGM, the items being rectified for Health Canada are all minor, so expect the cultivation license any week now, with planting soon after. I think the market thinks this is going to be another Supra, but even basic research will show this is happening and in the near term.
MV & Oakum are our first customers to use our machines in commercial operations. MV's results exceeded expectations, though no figures were given. I think Oakum's results will be more important as they use the full automation including iGrow software & Fertigation. They started planting 4 weeks ago, so results should come out in Jan. I presume RGI will receive real time data from the iGrow software enabling them to enhance Oakums growing techniques. This would have been difficult with MV who did not have the iGrow software/remote monitoring especially being miles away in a different Province. This proves the concept to other potential customers and you can bet the big boys will be watching too.
We seem to have found some direction since Adam took over the reigns. The sales pipeline is alive, we have commercial facilities using our equipment & some of these JVs like RGS, Freshero & Cannifarms should prove to be very fruitful.
Our friend Mr Robinson has done a great job promoting orbital gardens, unfortunately his world is about to come crashing down.
It's been a long wait, however things seem to be falling into place & I think we'll have a fantastic 2020.
