Thats exactly what it is. A very common feature on small caps. Purely designed to bulk out the bid volume so it doesn't look so lopsided.
I sent an email to ASX this morning asking about this very thing and whether they think its legitimate.
BD1 which I bought short term has a 20m bid at 0.001....a total scam and imo should be stamped out.
But we all know how pathetic both the ASX and ASIC are, so obviously nothing will be done as their broker mates might be offended.
Its a lopsided playing field over which retail have zero control.
