I'm saddened to read your circumstances. I have imagined the grief on many sleepless nights. Our youngest, Natasha, was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia) at the age of 23 months. Fortunately she is one of the lucky ones. Her 2 yrs intensive treatment finishes on March 22 and when you reach approximately 5 yrs (inclusive of the 2yrs) you are considered cured, as best one can be with cancers, without trying to sound negative.
My brother passed away due to suicide at the age of 37 yrs and I watched that tear my mother apart. We're sure the despair and trying to understand the situation sent her to an early grave.
Burying your child is the most gut wrenching act a parent can live through. After all, it's meant to be them burying you. You can't but help thinking of all the mile stones they will never acheive.
I sincerely hope you find solace.
