With respect to you, management made a statement a number of times which you have pointed out which by close of business has not been met "Late September could have intimated any time over the last 7 to 10 days. Early October is not late September. If management are not in control of the information flow then don't make those types of statements.
Having said that, for long term holders it doesn't really make any difference if they announce today or next week. If you bought for a swing trade you may be disappointed with managements indication on when to expect news.
