Personally, I think this project is too progressed and the prospects are too great for the county to completely tear it down. However, it does delay the timelines of financing, construction, and delivery of product to Tesla and other potential Offtake agreements that are potentially just waiting for the "all-clear" to sign. Regardless, it's a big project, lots of money for everyone in the community, at worst there's probably going to time invested into a third-party environmental impact research study alongside this a confident restoration plan that will need to be presented to the community (just like Sayona lol). But who knows in the US... things might be more straight.

Just my 2cents at this stage.
