Most ASX developers would not become producers until 2023/2024. VUL, LKE and GLN are all pointing 2024/2025 to commence production. DLE does produce fast initially, but after 1.5 years, conventional pond method fully ramping up production, this merit will be gone. Due to very low grade, those DLE producers will need to process more brine to get same amount of the lithium carbonate, high energy intensity, as well as requiring more fresh water. DLE producers to claim environmentally friendly by dumping the processed brine back to the source, that would dilute the resource grade, affecting future production rate, imo.
In the mining perspective, GRADE is the KING, that’s how big four iron ore producers can always enjoy hefty profit even in a tough environment, imo.
