People just don't get it!
One of the reasons for maintaining the anti-uranium stance was environmental. When your neighbouring land/tribe has a pro-uranium stance, there is no way the fish/river/trees etc can't get affected. The biggest concern about the environmental issue was how the Inuits would also be affected and from my sources, they are more conservative!
It's like saying, I want to have a quiet day today, but if the person next to you is screaming and shouting, there's no way you're going to have silence.
Pro Uranium in a neighbouring country affects you! It's a green light now!!!
