Like other battery metals, investor interest has waned somewhat in vanadium, especially after the recent steep drop in the price.The Chinese price for vanadium pentoxide flake peaked at $US33.90 ($47.52) a pound in early November last year but has since slid more than 57 per cent to $US14.40 a pound.Meanwhile, the Chinese price for ferrovanadium hit a high of $US143.50 a pound in late October before sinking 62 per cent to $US54.50 a pound.This has impacted the share prices of several junior vanadium hopefuls.There are 43 ASX stocks with exposure to vanadium, and 30 have lost between 4 and 92 per cent of their value since November last year.
This article is going back to April this year. The Vanadium price has almost halved again I believe.

What happened with KRR has happened with most junior vanadium stocks. KRR has much more then Vanadium in it's stable and I expect that KRR will recover in due course. But there were obvious reasons why they suffered as far as their share price is concerned.
Do I believe that gold will lose half to two thirds of it's value. No I don't. So to compare the vanadium price collapse with gold is stretching it.
SPX has got gold in the ground . We just don't know how much. But given the interest by certain parties wanting to acquire stock I am reasonably confident it's significant. For that reason I happy to wait the outcome.
The selling today is the herd mentality. Yesterday there was more then 10 million bought at 12c. The market is a strange beast. Those that did not want to sell at 12c yesterday are now happy to sell at 10c when the price of gold continues to rise.
Each to their own.

This is so true possum... you can not correlate battery metals to gold... the two metals are viewed for completely different purposes.
