I never suggested stopping exporting anything, the market will decide.
However I do believe that we are at a point where no new green site thermal coal mines should be started e.g Adani. Not because of any ideological resasons but because they will never reach their predict life, the market will dissapear before all the coal can be extracted. We will trash the environment for little return. From an economic perspective Australia would be better off restricting supply to maximise profits on what it can sell while it can.
