Do I agree that a junior school science teacher with the right equipment can replicate how CO2 effects a close system?

I have never doubted that science, it can be replicated day in and day out.
Is this one of those glaringly obvious proven facts that your good self is willing to hang ya Fedora on?

There are many proven facts that a scientist needs to formulate a theory, they need these as a foundation to build a credible hypothesis and that is the stage we find ourselves now!

This simple fact that seems to get forgotten by many people, well not forgotten as such but uif you want to believe pgraded to the level of proof I feel.

The simple truth that has to be accepted if one wants to only state facts is the scientific community knows 5 fifths of nearly nothing but a basic understanding of the land, even less of the oceans or the effects of the sun and who knows what from further out.

But hey, the power of belief can overcome those pesky small details for your good self.

Maybe you should reread the definition of Proven Science as you seem to have it confused with a belief?

PS As a professional fisherman I don’t get to rub shoulders with well educated people very often but I do agree that they are specialists.
I’ve found, like others have said, that they can be found lacking in some life skills because of the dedication needed when you specialise.
I don’t mean that in a derogatory sense but as a generalisation and it’s my opinion.
This narrowing of knowledge to concentrate and excel in a small area is worthy of praise but is it also partly to blame for many of the errors in previous incarnations of MMCC?
Does the scientific community lack a visionary who can take a look at the big picture a have a decent crack at listing the Known Unknowns to give his community and us plebs a less distorted view of where we sit in relation to Provable Facts not Media Spin.
