So how much are YOU personally prepared to pay in increased taxes as a result of the shuttering of our coal, LNG and Iron Ore exports Dex?
All that Government revenue (income tax, company tax payroll tax, GST revenue, royalties, resource rents tax) will need to be replaced, and unemployment will rise - dirrect mining job losses, as well as all the ancillary services provided to the mines, not to mention the impacts in the regions through people moving away (Hunter Valley, Emerald, Mackay etc). So we’ll all now have to foot the bill for people who lose their jobs.
