Yet another shock jock throw away line. Nuclear ? Pfftttt.
No facts, no figures, no data.
The answer is a shift to renewable energy which is actually under way today.
We know what renewable energy costs. It is being tested, studied, tweaked, modified and improved every day around the world. Renewable energy is the ultimate upgradeable power source. Flexible, able to be customised and improved on the run.
Unlike lumbering old power stations that are likely to become stranded assets.
Not an old technology that is redundant before it is built.
Not imaginary Gen IV that doesn't exist commercially. Not fusion which doesn't exist. The nuclear shills try to talk it up existing nuclear but the reality is it's not practical for countries like Australia with a mature power system.
Nuclear is crazy expensive, crazy slow to build. No one wants to live anywhere near them. Toxic waste that lasts for thousands of years that no one has a storage solution for. Anywhere.
Australia is rolling out renewables daily while the deniers try and muddy the water talking about solutions that don't exist.
Bye, bye fission nuclear industry. That ship has sailed.
