water many years ago the yanks built canals in california into dry areas and now feed themselves from a desert................we pissed our mining boom up against a wall- the piss then flowed into the nearest harvey norman. Obviously not a silver bullet but a little synergy between gas co's( who dig holes and lay pipes) and our multiple layers of govt would have at least some water flowing into areas it usually is sparse- maybe to landowners that dont want gas as it makes them no money.
