1) The article says no such thing. You’re making up stuff again.
2) You’re apparently conflating all the initiatives the government has promised with this effort which is actually just an agreement to share and model resource data. Fail.
What the article does say is that Trump has already green lit the DoD to spend money on getting defense critical minerals (hello Scandium).
The Oz government has says it plans to provide funds via NAIF (obviously not years away since they wrap up in a couple of years) and the new resource export department they’re setting up next year.
