Turnbull declared that he would support direct action, not too long ago. In the interview I heard, he did say that there was a long way to move within direct action in the way it was constructed. By that, I was lead to believe that it could achieve much of the same outcomes as an ETS, without being labelled as such.

If he is successful in finding a palatable solution for both sides, he will improve his standing within the electorate. Furthermore, he will bring a halt to the decline in renewable energy that has featured over the past two years.
