The point I was making was about the behaviour of the VIRUS, which is that it mutates and can mutate into a more dangerous form, or it can mutate into a less dangerous form.
You assume it will be the latter. That wasn't the case with the 1918/19 flu.
The point is that people were fed up with the restrictions, and relaxed. THEN the virus mutated into a more serious form and wiped out millions.
You are so sure this cannot happen? It can. This is why the authorities are so keen to develop a vaccine and use it.
