I wouldn't think anything would last long in the memory. It's one bit of news, then gone. Far less damage than running things on a shoestring.
I'm kinda forever tarnished by seeing one 'games' which devastated many businesses and people financially, what a lot of bollocks a lot of the supposed greatness is that they deliver. A lot of it just never happens. Personally I'd never sign up for the things in the first place.
