Whilst on the subject of cancer.

What are our universities doing? Shouldn't they be looking at trends a limiting spaces for 'frivolous' degrees....which become flooded...not everyone can be a GP...and direct numbers towards specialised fields?

Experts say a surge in new cancers is fuelled by people born in the 1930s, 40s and 50s who spent too much time in the sun unprotected. The next wave is those born in the 1960s and 70s.

There are only 38 dermatologists in WA, plus 6 registrars, and for some their next appointment is early next year.

Maybe it's me, but my thinking is that once a problem is identified by a layman it's too late to catch up workout unnecessary deaths along the way...maybe collateral damage is part of ignorance.

I expect cancer organisations and the governments to be on top of trends and act well before...especially in sun drenched Australian hot spots (no pun).
