    Nope, not all. I just don't like seeing the impact that cancer can have on people, both directly and indirectly....I don't seek alternatives at all, I am about as mainstream as you get. Not a fan of disruptive surgery though, I don't think we have got far enough into the consequences but again that is a sliding scale as the question is whether something like blood transfusion or surgical removal is intervention, prevention or deferral.

    We can't avoid the genetic makeup we are born with but most of us can manage some of the environmental things that increase the probability of a trigger or catalyst causing a cancerous bloom. Eating, drinking, sleeping, exercising, interacting etc.

    But again, it is a numbers game.

    I became fascinated years ago with the Human Genome Project and find it interesting but it is complex and the more I read about it the more I realised how little we really do know about our DNA and its sub-elements and the interactions. Medical research is never ending.
