Anyone know of any progress with a line in the mid west southern transport corridor?
This whole area is very rich in Vanadium, in this article it says:
'PMA?s core asset is its 100%-owned Windimurra Vanadium Project, located 600km north-east of Perth near the town of Mt Magnet, which
contains the largest reported vanadium Proven Ore Reserve in the world.'
Canegrass had intersctions in the MXR days that turned up over 1% V, showing signs of being even higher grade than Windimurra next door. Needs to be economic however as processing the V from the ore not cheap, however TNG have just patented a new technique that should make it cheaper.
So the value in Canegrass is not just magnetite, if the V prices run high, and this new process is cheaper, then there maybe scope for a small V operation. You don't need rail to transport that, there is a nice road some 80km away that could be used for that.
